While error codes can be numerous, this type of error leads one to believe something far more specific. This type of graphical anomaly is usually caused by only a few things:
- Your GPU isn't receiving enough power from your PSU
- Your GPU is overheating
- Your GPU is damaged by any one of the following:
- Overheating in the past or currently
- Overvolting
- Static discharge
- Physical damage
- Your GPU drivers are severely corrupted
- Your GPU's built in memory or your PCs memory is corrupt/damaged
Try a different GPU if you can borrow one from a friend or family member. If the artifacts continue, it is your RAM. If not, it is the GPU. Reinstall the VGA drivers for your card, updating them in the process if possible. If the issue persists, it is indeed damaged.
